Easy Breezy Chinatown
Follow the footsteps of early Chinese immigrants and visit the old civic district of Singapore too.
DURATION: 3 Hours
When Sir Stamford Raffles founded Singapore in 1819, one of the earliest groups of immigrants to arrive were the Chinese. Why were they here? What did they do when they arrived? Where do they stay?
Embark on this 3-hour journey with us to know more. We will show you their lifestyle and livelihood in the yesteryear with a walk around Chinatown and visit the Chinatown Heritage Centre where you get to see the conditions of how these immigrants used to live in.
To round up this discovery journey, we will bring you to the Civic District where many Chinese used to work by the Singapore River under the hot sun everyday. Over here, instead of walking we will be taking the Segway miniPro and wheeze through the important landmarks to see the changing landscape.
Come join us as we walk and breeze through historical buildings and unravel key events which took place since 1819.
